40's Era Swing
SATURDAY, Sept. 22, 7:30 p.m.
Strike up the band! Clear
the floor! Seventeen talented musicians from Southern Manitoba and
Saskatchewan are coming to play 40's era swing music in the big band
style. Musicians and singers are led by Mark Humphries, who honed his
musical skills in the U.K. army, before moving to Canada in 2008. This
show will appeal to everyone with a heartbeat!
B. B. King Tribute
Friday, Nov. 2, 7:30 p.m.
Regina based Blues
guitarist, singer and songwriter Jack Semple with band will perform a
tribute to the legendary King of the Blues B.B. King. King was inducted
into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1987 and died in 2015. Semple has won
both a Juno award and a Western Canadian Music award, and he's an
outstanding guitarist, so sit back and enjoy the best in Blues.
Amero Little Christmas
Friday, Dec. 14, 7:30 p.m.
Don Amero presents a popular
variety show with his unique take on some familiar and traditional
Christmas melodies, sprinkled with a few original songs. With silky
vocals, a lovable stage presence, and a soulful sound, Don and his friends
bring their brand of percussion-style guitar play and delightful
approachability to each performance. A holiday treat!
Folk / Traditional
Friday, Jan. 18, 7:30 p.m.
John Wort Hannam is an
international touring prize-winning song writer and humourist. He's a
natural born storyteller known for his unique take on the simple
day-to-day dramas of common folk. His group will perform folk songs that
map the landscapes of both the human heart and this vast country.
Friday, Feb. 8, 7:30 p.m.
This 2017 Indigenous Music Award winner and former Juno nominee's
music is as country as the gravel roads around her hometown of Dauphin. It
strikes a chord by finding the commonalities of hope in us all. With a
gift for song writing and a versatile voice, she and her group will leave
your toes tapping and your heart smiling.

Cellist Chloe Dominguez and pianist Janelle Fung take you on a
sublime and mystical journey inspired by fables, from Russian folklore to
Italian commedia dell'arte to child-like fantasy of princess and prince.

A Cappella Pop
Friday, April 5, 7:30 p.m.
Nine men who can sing a
cappella -- what more can you ask for?! Those Guys, from a cross-section
of the Winnipeg music and theatre community, have built a reputation for
dynamic, feel good performances. Their repertoire, ranging from The Nylons
to Justin Timberlake (and everything in between) features complex, often
original, musical arrangements sung without a single backing instrument.
